This notice covers information submitted through the LIG website. It does not replace the specific data terms required for a client engagement.
Who controls your information
Litigation Intelligence Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17447728, is the controller for information submitted through this website. Its registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact LIG through the business enquiry form or by telephone on 0330 053 3865.
Information collected
The enquiry form collects your name, work email address, organisation, role, optional telephone number and the message you choose to provide. A pseudonymised network identifier and basic request information may be processed to protect the form from misuse.
Why it is used
The information is used to review and respond to your enquiry, maintain an appropriate business record and protect the website. Do not submit resident information, special-category personal data, property evidence or confidential case material through the public form.
Lawful basis
Enquiry information is processed where necessary to take steps at your request before a possible business engagement and for LIG’s legitimate interests in responding to professional enquiries, maintaining appropriate records and protecting the website.
Storage sharing and transfers
Information is stored through the OpenAI Sites service and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare. It is not sold. Providers process information only to operate and protect the website under their contractual terms. Where processing takes place outside the United Kingdom, LIG relies on the safeguards provided through those service arrangements or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention
Website enquiries are normally deleted 12 months after submission. A record may be retained longer where an engagement continues, a dispute must be resolved or law requires it. Client work is governed by separate agreed terms and a specific retention schedule.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection. Contact LIG using the details above to exercise a right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
